Social Enterprise

Program Pemerkasaan Komuniti Bandar (PEKB) is an initiative established through a collaboration between Mahabbah and the Ministry of Housing and Local Government (KPKT). This programme is specifically designed as a comprehensive entrepreneurship training platform to empower the B40 group in improving their economic standing and building sustainable sources of income.

Conducted over a period of 7 days and 6 nights, the programme offers a well-rounded training curriculum covering financial management, entrepreneurship, marketing strategies, food handling, and practical training. This integrated approach ensures that participants not only gain theoretical knowledge but are also able to apply what they have learned in real business situations.

From 2014 to 2026, Mahabbah has successfully trained more than 3,500 participants across Malaysia. Participants have ventured into various business sectors, including food and beverages, soft landscaping, automotive workshops, home repairs, massage therapy, beauty and grooming services, as well as other service-based industries.

Through this programme, Mahabbah remains committed to nurturing competitive and highly skilled community entrepreneurs who are capable of contributing to sustainable local economic development.

Program Peningkatan Pendapatan (PPP) is an initiative designed to strengthen skills development and entrepreneurial empowerment among targeted community groups. The programme is implemented through a range of strategic approaches, including additional training, human capital development, financial management, marketing, and continuous entrepreneurial guidance.

In addition, participants are supported through the provision of suitable business equipment to facilitate the start-up or expansion of their businesses more effectively. This holistic approach provides opportunities for participants—particularly those with limited entrepreneurial experience—to develop their potential, enhance practical skills, and cultivate sustainable competitiveness.

Overall, the programme aims to support communities in generating additional income while strengthening business networks over the long term, ultimately contributing to improved socio-economic well-being.

Mahabbah serves as a strategic partner to agencies under the Ministry of Rural and Regional Development (KKDW), collaborating with organisations such as the Pahang Agricultural Development Corporation (PKPP), MARA Corporation (MARAMEC), Yayasan Pelajaran MARA (YPM), and Felcra Training Centre (FTC).

Between 2023 and 2026, Mahabbah has successfully trained nearly 800 participants under this programme, reflecting its continued commitment to empowering communities through inclusive and high-impact entrepreneurial development initiatives.
